Registers

Keep DSCs, licences, trademarks, work passes, contracts and anything else that expires in one place, and get reminded before each runs out.

A register is a simple list of things with an expiry or renewal date: clients' digital signature certificates, trade licences, trademarks, work passes, maintenance contracts, insurance policies. MSMEPulse reminds the right person before each one runs out.

Set up a register

Go to Registers. If you have none yet, pick one of the suggestions (they depend on your country) or click New register. Give it a name and say how many days before expiry to remind, for example 60, 30, 7. There's always a reminder on the day it expires too.

Admins set up registers. Anyone who can edit clients can add entries.

Add an entry

Open the register and click Add. Record:

  • What it is, and a reference (licence, application or serial number).
  • Held by: a director, employee, product or site.
  • Client, if it belongs to a client. It then also shows on the client's page under Registers. Leave it empty for your firm's own items.
  • Looked after by: who gets the reminders. If no one is chosen, the workspace owner does.
  • Issued on and Expires on.

Each entry shows Valid, Due soon (inside the first reminder), Expired or No expiry. Needs attention at the top of the list gathers everything due soon or expired across all registers.

Renew or close

When something is renewed, click Renew and enter the new expiry date. The renewal is kept in its history and reminders start again for the new date.

If something is no longer needed (a client left, a licence surrendered), open it and click Close. Closed entries stop sending reminders; tick Show closed to see them.

Who sees what

Entries for a client are visible to the people who can see that client. Entries without a client are visible to everyone who can see clients.
