Logged time shows what work was done, and approved billable time is what gets invoiced.
Use the timer
- Click Start timer at the top of any page, or Start timer inside a task.
- Choose the project and, if you like, the task.
- Work as normal. The timer keeps running even if you change pages.
- Click Stop. The time is saved to your timesheet straight away.
Starting a new timer stops and saves the one already running. If you forget to stop it, we save up to 12 hours and ask you to check the entry.
Add time by hand
Go to Time and click Add time. Type the time however you like:
| You type | We record |
|---|---|
1:30 |
1h 30m |
1.5 |
1h 30m |
90m |
1h 30m |
2h |
2h |
You can't log time in the future, or more than 24 hours in a day.
Billable or not
Tick Billable for client work that can be invoiced. Untick it for internal time such as meetings. Time on internal projects is never billable.
Submit your week
When your week is done, click Submit week for approval. Your manager gets an email. Until they approve it, the week is locked; ask them to return it if you need to change something.
After approval you can still add new time to that week. Submit again and only the new time goes for approval.
You can only log time on projects whose team you're in. Not seeing a project? Ask its project manager to add you.
