Two-step sign-in

Protect your account with a code from your phone, and what to do if you lose it.

Two-step sign-in means that after your password, you also enter a 6-digit code from an app on your phone. Someone who learns your password still can't get in.

Turn it on

  1. Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone (both free).
  2. Go to Settings โ†’ Security and click Turn on.
  3. In the app, tap + and scan the QR code. Can't scan? Type the key shown instead.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows.
  5. Save your backup codes. Download or copy them and keep them somewhere safe, like your password manager.

Signing in

Enter your email and password as usual, then the code currently showing in the app. Codes change every 30 seconds.

Code not working? Make sure your phone's time is set automatically (Settings โ†’ Date & Time).

Lost your phone?

On the code screen, click I don't have my phone and enter one of your backup codes. Each one works once. Then turn two-step sign-in off and on again with your new phone.

No backup codes either? Ask an Admin in your company to contact support@msmepulse.com.

Requiring it for everyone (Admins)

Under Settings โ†’ Security, Admins can require two-step sign-in for the whole company. Turn it on for your own account first, so you don't lock yourself out.
