MSMEPulse tracks new business in three steps:
- Leads: people who might buy, such as an enquiry, a referral or someone you met at an event.
- Deals: real opportunities with a client and a value, moving through your pipeline.
- Proposals: what you send the client to accept. See Proposals and e-signature.
Add a lead
Go to Leads โ Add lead. Enter the person's name, an email or phone number, and where they came from, such as a referral, your website or an event. Add a rough estimated value and a follow-up date if you have them.
The source matters. The boxes at the top of the Leads page show how many leads each source brings and how many become clients.
As you talk to them, set where it stands: Contacted, Qualified (a real opportunity) or Not a fit.
Convert a lead
When a lead is worth pursuing, click Convert to client and deal. In one step this:
- creates the client with the lead's contact details, or links a client you already have,
- creates a deal in your pipeline with the lead's value and source,
- moves any open follow-ups across to the deal.
Nothing is typed twice. In India, choose the client's state if they have no GSTIN, because it decides whether CGST + SGST or IGST applies.
The pipeline
Pipeline shows your deals as cards in stages, such as New โ Qualified โ Proposal sent โ Negotiation โ Won or Lost. Each stage shows how many deals it has and their total value.
To move a deal:
- drag the card to another stage, or
- use the keyboard: Tab to the card, press Space, use the arrow keys, and press Space again, or
- use the card's โฏ menu, or the stage bar on the deal's page.
Moving a deal to Won or Lost asks why, such as price, chose a competitor or no budget. Over time this shows you why you win and lose.
At the top of the page:
- Open value: what all open deals are worth.
- Weighted value: each deal multiplied by its stage's chance of winning. It's a realistic forecast.
- Won in the last 90 days, and your win rate.
Proposals and deals
On a deal, click New proposal. The proposal is linked to the deal:
- sending it moves the deal to Proposal sent, if it was in an earlier stage,
- when the client accepts it, the deal is marked Won at the accepted value, before GST,
- if they decline, it's noted on the deal so you can follow up.
Follow-ups and activity
On every lead and deal you can record a call, meeting, email or note, and set a follow-up reminder. Follow-ups that are due appear at the top of the Pipeline page and on the lead or deal. Tick one when it's done.
Stage changes, conversions and proposal events are recorded automatically, so you can see the whole history.
Change the stages
Admins can click Stages on the Pipeline page to rename, add, reorder or remove stages, and set each one's chance of winning. There's always one Won and one Lost stage. A stage with deals in it can't be removed until you move the deals out.
Who sees what
Leads and deals use the Sales permission. Managers see their own and their team's; Admins see everyone's; Employees don't see sales by default.
