Project templates and your industry

Start projects from ready-made templates for your industry, with milestones, tasks, roles and a document checklist, and make your own templates.

Your industry's templates

When you sign up, you choose your industry, and MSMEPulse adds ready-made project templates for it: a CA firm gets statutory audits and GST compliance, an agency gets website builds and retainers, an architect gets building design and approvals, and so on.

Doing more than one kind of work? Add more industries in Settings โ†’ Company details, under Your industry. Each one you add brings its templates.

What's in a template

  • Milestones, with their share of the fee for fixed-price work.
  • Tasks and sub-tasks, each with a role (such as Manager, Senior or Designer) and when it's due, counted from the project's start.
  • A document checklist: what you need from the client (or from your own team), by when, and which documents are compulsory.

Open a template to see it all before using it.

Starting a project from a template

Choose New project, pick a template, then:

  1. Give the project a name and choose the client.
  2. Set the start date. Every task and milestone date is worked out from it.
  3. For fixed-price work, enter the contract value. Each milestone's amount is worked out from its share.
  4. Choose a person for each role. Their tasks are assigned to them.

You see a preview of the dates and amounts before anything is created.

Browse the library

Browse the library lists every MSMEPulse template for your country, by industry. Add any of them to your templates.

When MSMEPulse publishes a newer version of a template you have, the library says so. Adding the new version keeps your current copy and any changes you made to it.

Make your own

  • Edit any of your templates: add tasks, change roles, adjust dates or the document checklist. Changes only affect your workspace, and projects you've already started don't change.
  • New template starts one from scratch.
  • From any project, choose Save as a template to reuse its structure.
