These details are printed on your invoices and decide whether VAT is charged. Have your trade licence and, if registered, your VAT registration certificate from the Federal Tax Authority nearby.
Trade licence number
The number on your trade licence from your emirate or free zone authority. It's optional, and printed on your invoices when you add it.
Address and emirate
Your registered address, and the emirate it's in. Clients see it on every invoice.
Are you registered for VAT?
- Yes: enter your TRN. Your invoices become tax invoices with VAT at 5%, and show your TRN and, when you've added it, your client's.
- No: your invoices won't charge VAT.
TRN
Your 15-digit Tax Registration Number, for example 100123456700003. We check it has 15 digits.
Financial year
The month your accounting year starts. Most UAE businesses use January; choose whatever your accountant uses. It sets the year for your reports and the Corporate Tax date on your compliance calendar.
Some UAE rules in MSMEPulse, such as holiday dates that depend on the moon, are expected dates. Check them against official announcements.
